3. PDF & File Processing

All PDF tools on Tooljin process files entirely in your browser using client-side JavaScript. We never upload, store, or transmit your files to any server. Your documents stay on your device at all times.

4. AI-Generated Content

Prompts and inputs you send for AI generation are transmitted to Google's AI APIs (Gemini/Imagen) for processing. These requests are subject to Google's Privacy Policy. We do not permanently store your prompts or generated images.

5. Third-Party Services

• Google Firebase — authentication, database, and hosting
• Google AI (Gemini / Imagen) — AI generation APIs
• Payment processor — secure payment handling

Each of these services has its own privacy policy. We do not share your personal data with any other third parties.

6. No Ads. No Data Selling.

Tooljin does not display advertisements. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with advertisers or data brokers. Your data is used solely to provide and improve the Service.

7. Data Retention

We retain your account information as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time. Usage logs are retained for a maximum of 90 days for security purposes.

8. Cookies

We use only essential cookies required for authentication and session management (via Firebase). We do not use tracking, advertising, or analytics cookies.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your account and data (Right to Erasure)
• Withdraw consent at any time
• EU/EEA users (GDPR): Right to data portability, right to object to processing, right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority
• California users (CCPA): Right to know what personal data is collected, right to opt-out of sale of personal data (we do not sell personal data), right to non-discrimination

9a. International Data Transfers

Tooljin is operated from India. If you access our Service from outside India, your data may be transferred to and processed in India. By using the Service, you consent to this transfer. We use Firebase (Google) infrastructure which complies with international data protection standards including GDPR.

9b. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)

For EU/EEA users, we process your personal data on the following legal bases: (a) performance of a contract — to provide the Service you signed up for; (b) legitimate interests — to improve our Service and prevent abuse; (c) legal obligation — to comply with applicable laws.

10. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), Firebase security rules, and secure token-based authentication. However, no system is 100% secure — please use a strong password and keep it confidential.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify registered users of significant changes by email. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated policy.
